Window on Venetian Life - Watercolour
This painting is a place I saw on our travels. We stayed in Cannaregio in a traditional Venetian apartment for a week with the kids, shopping locally, making traditional meals (my husband is Italian) and wandering about exploring the place. Marco Polo a famous traveller made his home in Cannaregio and this year Venice mark 700 years of his famous travels! It’s just incredible to imagine we were living in the same area and walking in his footsteps. What a an amazing heritage for our kids! Working in watercolour and ink this week.
