Waiting - Original Artwork
I remember the feeling of waiting for my children. The excitement - and touch of fear - as the end of pregnancy got closer. Losing the ability to bend at the waist as the baby takes up an increasing amount of space in your body, feeling little kicks and the occasional painful elbow as the baby flexes their limbs inside you… trying to get a comfortable position in bed at night. Times spent gently rubbing my belly and talking to it! The physicality of a growing pregnancy. Patiently waiting for this little miracle, grown with so much love. So much hope in this growing tummy. The joy of impending new life. A new person. A new family.
