It all begins with inspiration. As a young woman I studied fashion design and learnt to cut my own patterns from a block. I loved creating my own original garments. Although these days I rarely sew (apart from making fab costumes for my kids over the years!) I have always followed fashion. I have a deep appreciation for the skills and techniques of couture. One evening I sat with my family and spontaneously started sketching fashions and a new love was born.
Fashion as art is a powerful form of self expression.
What started as act of escapism has become a wonderful journey into fashion illustration.
